There are many boot fairs or carboot fairs around London, where one can find clothes, books, household appliances and generally anything under the sun. Prices are usually quite cheap and you can always barter ie, offer a lower price, though it won't always work. When buying electrical goods make sure that you can return it if the item doesn't work. Remember the seller may only be there for the day, get to know who the regulars are and who you can trust. If you're not sure ask the bootfair staff if the seller is a regular. Good car boot fairs are located all around London, personally I prefer 3 specific locations as they are easy to get too. Kilburn situated in Saint Augustines School, Kilburn Park Road, on a saturday morning from 8 open to the public from 11am, Ladbroke Grove in Middle Row School, Middle Row, Ladbroke Grove on a sunday from 9am or Vauxhall (New Covent Garden Market) off Nine Elms on a sunday from 10 am.
